Tapestry Press was founded in February 2000 by Jill Bertolet, a publishing executive with an extensive business background. Tapestry published its first titles for the trade marketplace in 2001. A few of the titles are ENGULFED, The People, Places, and Fish Around the Gulf Coast, photographed by noted environmental photo journalist, David J. Sams, with text by Doug Pike of the Houston Chronicle, and CEO of SELF, You're In Charge by Herman Cain, WINNING THE RACE, Taking Charge of Breast Cancer by Nancy Brinker. Tapestry is honored to have published KEEPING CHRISTMAS by New York Times best selling author, Barbara Chesser and TAMMY GARCIA, Form Without Boundaries with narrative by Bruce Bernstein, Ph.D., curator, the Smithsonian Institution and John Grimes of the Peabody Essex Museum. Through acquisition and an aggressive publishing program, Tapestry Press now has over 75 trade titles in print and continues to develop and strengthen its reputation for producing quality specialty books for private organizations and public companies as well.
Tapestry Press is pleased to handle the distribution programs of Verity Press and Ascent Education Press among others.
Tapestry Press' vision for every project is simple-identify subject matter that is important and of interest to a broad segment of the population, tell a story, design a package that distinguishes it on the bookshelf, and sell it. We believe that a book should either educate or entertain, and ideally, will accomplish both objectives.
Tapestry Press values its authors and clients as individuals and partners. We pride ourselves in designing publishing and marketing programs for each title that provides the greatest exposure in the marketplace. Everyone in the organization is committed to assuring the success of the product and doing all that can be done to establish our authors as stalwarts in the publishing community.
Tapestry Press' resources and talents include individuals who have earned Ph.D.'s, graphic design experts, and publicists with national reputations. Our editors are all experienced and boast specialties in academics, textbooks for both the scholastic and theological marketplaces. When a corporate client needs assistance just getting started, we can also provide archival services.
